For the past few days there was a lot of focus on getting Internet Explorer up to par with other browsers in terms of Fire performance. Just playing through some of my own demos and the VNs already written here I felt that IE really just couldn't handle some of the more complicated stuff.
So I went through the code and worked in a whole bunch of IE oriented optimizations that ended up giving IE8 a large boost in terms of performance. It's still slower than other browsers (around 300% slower than Chrome), but there should be a lot less 'lag' in IE.
Also fixed a few newly discovered bugs while I was at it. Those issues were fairly technical so I didn't feel like detailing them, but they're fixed.
